Much like bad weather tore through the northwest the previous evening, City overwhelmed United away at the Etihad Stadium. It was a emphatic three goal win for Andrée Jeglertz’s side owing to goals from Rebecca Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Hemp. It was a performance that firmly established their championship potential as they strengthened their standing at the top of the table.
