Britain's leader is expected to urge allies to supply Ukraine with more long-range missiles to hit Moscow's positions during a meeting in the UK capital on the upcoming Friday.

Sir Keir plans to receive Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky alongside referred to as "alliance of supportive nations", consisting of over twenty of Ukraine's allies who have committed to provide the Ukrainian government security guarantees once a ceasefire is brokered.

Ukraine's president has been appealing for several weeks for further long-range weapons from allied countries, an action that Russia has warned would intensify the hostilities.

President Zelensky is travelling from the EU capital, where he conferred with European representatives on yesterday pursuing economic assistance.

"The only person engaged in the ongoing war who declines to halt the fighting is the Russian leader," Sir Keir said.

Sir Keir will also declare that 100 extra anti-aircraft missiles will be delivered to Ukraine sooner than scheduled, as specified in a substantial financial arrangement struck between the United Kingdom and the Ukrainian government in March.

Sir Keir will encourage delegates to increase the provision of extended-range systems following a productive strike on a manufacturing site in the Bryansk region, Russia, using UK-provided missile systems.

"Furthermore, his depraved strikes on innocent children in a preschool in recent days show that crystal clear," he stated further.

Two children were among at least seven fatally wounded in multiple Russian strikes on the country, which hit a nursery in the major urban center Kharkiv.

Financial Discussions

Sir Keir will consult partner nations on how to remove Moscow's energy exports off the global market.

They will also discuss employing frozen Russian assets to provide Kyiv with financial loans, though the proposal encountered a lack of political consensus and regulatory obstacles at the Brussels summit on the previous day.

European Union declined to approving to a proposal to utilize up to €140bn in blocked Moscow funds to financially prop up Kyiv's finances.

However, the leaders consented to contribute to the country's "financial needs" for the next two years.

The US also revealed sanctions on midweek against Russia's major energy corporations, the state-owned company and Lukoil, as element of actions to increase financial pressure on Moscow to commence hostility discussions.

The Russian government began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in winter 2022. The invading forces currently holds about one-fifth of Ukraine's soil, encompassing the southern region Russia took control of in several years ago.
